Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley visits Baltimore County's General John Stricker Middle School

General John Stricker Middle School welcomed Governor Martin O' Malley, Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith, and Baltimore County Public School Superintendent Joe Hairston on January 29, 2007. Governor O' Malley joined the County Executive to tour the school and view ongoing renovation projects. While touring the building, O'Malley and Smith paused to receive an overview of the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) initiative from Jennifer Jackson, PBIS coach and school psychologist at General John Stricker Middle School. The Governor and County Executive were pleased with data that demonstrates a decrease in office referrals and they acknowledged the high level of positive messaging on display throughout the school building.  See more photos from the day on the Office of the Governor of the State of Maryland website.
